CENTERSTAGE and Baltimore Performance Kitchen present Pub Labs, a series of free readings and events designed as a platform for Baltimore performing artists of all disciplines to showcase, workshop, and explore new artistic ideas—beer in hand. The Pub Lab series is produced in part through a “Think Big” grant from Station North Arts & Entertainment, Inc., and hosted Liam Flynn's Ale HouseThe Pub Labs are founded on the idea that Baltimore arts organizations should strive to support one another’s ideas and institutions. The goal of the Pub Lab series is therefore to foster relationships with and among Baltimore arts organizations, creating an opportunity for the sharing of resources while spearheading the development of new work and new kinds of performance.
Every year, CENTERSTAGE holds a series of diverse readings, complete with open rehearsals, that invite you to join the process. Be the first to hear and respond to these new works in progress. Maybe you’ll see a part of theater history in the making; or better still, your suggestion or question might just help make that history.
