CENTERSTAGE's Calvert Street home features an impressive façade, reflecting its roots as the old Loyola College and High School—winning architectural awards for the imaginative adaptation of an historic building. Featuring two performing spaces, two rehearsal halls, and three lobbies spread over six floors, the theater has become a Baltimore landmark known for offering intimate and unique experiences for actor and audience interaction.
The Pearlstone Theater
This intimate performing space off the first floor lobby seats just 541, and no seat is farther than 35 feet from the stage. For the 2009-10 Season, The Pearlstone will be home to four full-length, fully produced plays.
The Head Theater
Opened in 1991 as a part of a major renovation of the CENTERSTAGE facility, The Head Theater is a flexible theatrical space that can be transformed into an amazing variety of performance configurations. For the 2009-10 Season, the theater has been redesigned as The Head Theater Cabaret, a nightclub-like venue featuring an upscale wine and beer bar.
