Advocacy

You can help Center Stage by becoming an active advocate for the theater. Contact your local, state, and national elected officials, and vote for public policy initiatives that promote and fund the arts.

Advocacy efforts include lobbying your local municipality, the State of Maryland, Congress, the White House, and various other agencies; monitoring new legislation that impacts not-for-profit organizations; and by participating in national events and campaigns designed to show support for arts funding.

Contact Center Stage at info@centerstage.org for information about current government issues impacting Center Stage, and how you can support our efforts.

Center Stage also encourages you to support the following advocacy organizations. Use the links below to receive email bulletins with late-breaking arts advocacy news:

Maryland Citizens for the Arts The leading voice for arts advocacy in Maryland.

Americans for the Arts The leading nonprofit organization for advancing the arts in America. Their three primary goals: increasing public and private sector support for the arts; ensuring that every American child has access to a high-quality arts education; and strengthening communities through the arts.
