CENTERSTAGE offers a state of the art, comfortable FM, operating in the 72MHz range, assistive listening devices. We provide two different styles of headphones available to use with our devices: Stereo Headphones and Stethoscope Stereo Headphones. Our system will also allow you to bring your own personal headphones if you feel more comfortable using them. Any headphone that fits in to an iPod (standard 1/8” headphone jack) will fit in our system. We also provide Neck Loops for those that want to use our system with their hearing aids. In order for your hearing aids to work with the Listen system they must have a T-coil system inside the hearing aids. Headsets and loops are available at no charge on a first-come, first-served basis. We are fully compliant with current ADA laws for assisted listening systems with the number of packs and neck loops we have on hand. We ask that you leave photo identification while borrowing the device. Patrons can request a device in advance when purchasing tickets or by e-mailing their request to boxoffice@centerstage.org.

Our volunteer audio describers provide an objective description of the non-verbal action on stage. Headsets are available at no charge, but we ask that you leave a photo identification while you borrow them. 

Braille programs are available at no charge for Classic Series performances. Stop by our lobby information counter on your way into the show.

Large print programs are no longer offered. CENTERSTAGE now offers lighted magnifiers that can be checked out using a photo id.

We are happy to accept Maryland Relay Service calls through our Box Office (410.332.0033) and Administrative Offices. (410.986.4000).

CENTERSTAGE is introducing a new Open Captioning system for our hearing impaired patrons; this new technology is the same that is being introduced to many Broadway theaters. Open Captioning works much like close caption does on a TV. The system provides the text of the play on a screen, as well as descriptions of any sound effects, so that people can read along with the action that is happening on stage. The LED sign is capable of delivering up to 4 lines of text at a time, and the text is programmed into a computer and controlled by an operator so that the delivery is in time with the dialogue and action on the stage. There will be one captioned performance for each production in the Classic Series.

All performances are 7:30 evening shows.

Utilizing universal design, both The Pearlstone and Head Theaters are fully accessible for patrons with specific mobility needs. Both offer removable seats for patrons who use wheelchairs, and the theater has an on-site wheelchair for use upon request. In addition, our Box Office entrance has a gently sloping ramp that provides access to our lobby and motorized doors that can be opened at the touch of a button.
