Requirements

Full-time interns must commit to an entire season at CENTERSTAGE (usually mid-August to early June). Most interns have already completed an undergraduate degree. For particular internships, some experience in the area of specialty is preferred. Computer literacy is required for every administrative position. Applications are accepted year-round; however, the selection process generally begins in early March. Because of the time-consuming nature of securing visas for foreign students, we are unable to accept applications for non-US citizens.

Academic Credit

In some instances, students can receive academic credit for an internship. CENTERSTAGE will work with the intern to meet his or her school’s credit requirements; however, the intern is ultimately responsible for those arrangements.

Evaluation

Interns are evaluated within 90 days of their arrival and again at the end of the internship. These meetings provide the interns and supervisors with a formal framework within which progress can be discussed, goals identified, and mutual expectations articulated.
