The Worlds of the Plays

The three plays comprising Working It Out feature unique occupations and workplaces, introducing us to proofreaders surrounded by cubicles, hitmen moving from restaurants to seedy motels, and filmmakers in the hills of Upstate New York. It is within each of these workplaces that characters struggle to define themselves, learning to balance life and work.

Director Jason Loewith of CENTERSTAGE's newest short work, Working It Out, gives an introduction to the three distinctive pieces that make up the theatrical event. The plays, written by three of America’s sharpest playwrights, including West Wing creator Aaron Sorkin and Mad Men staff writer Rick Cleveland, tackle the workplace in three wildly different ways.
