Stories Make the World

Everyone has a story to tell.

Stories Make the World is a unique storytelling workshop program that addresses Common Core Learning Standards in writing, speaking and listening, and language.

In this program, students work with a Baltimore Center Stage teaching artist to write, rehearse, and present a short story of their own. Classroom teachers find new ways to engage students through writing.

About the Curriculum

Developed here at Baltimore Center Stage by the Education Department and with the help of local teachers, this curriculum is a new and valuable resource for middle schools.

About the Event

This year, workshops culminate in a story slam event for participating schools and students and their families at Baltimore Center Stage on Saturday, May 12.

This day-long storytelling celebration involves hundreds of student playwrights and workshops throughout the day for students, family, and friends, culminating in a final staged performance. This event is in collaboration with Middle Grades Partnership.
