Stories Make the World
Everyone has a story to tell.
Stories Make the World is a unique storytelling workshop program that addresses Common Core Learning Standards in writing, speaking and listening, and language. Through autobiographical storytelling students learn how to craft a three- to five-minute story that reflects on personal experience and uses design thinking strategies to build empathy and understanding of the world around them.
In this program, students work with a Baltimore Center Stage teaching artist to write, rehearse, and present a short story of their own. Classroom teachers find new ways to engage students through writing.
